Thomas "Sonny" L. Aucoin

AUCOIN, THOMAS L. “SONNY” born on February 12, 1939, passed away peacefully at his home in Walker, Louisana on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the age of 83 after a recent diagnosis of metastatic small cell lung cancer. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, he will be remembered for his protective, giving nature, quick wit, and unforgettable sense of humor. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, working in his yard, taking care of his fruit trees, completing and framing jigsaw puzzles. Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Pat; daughters, Rena’ Byrd (Gary), Glenda Bell (Jimmy), and Delaine Hood (Keith); eight grandchildren, April (Chad), Lisa, Jarrett (Bri), Stephen (Sara), Hayden (Maghen), Aaron, Katie (Blake), and Cade; nine great-grandchildren; Katelyn, Mason, Caleb, Charleigh, Harmony, Dylan, Audrey, Easton, and Rebekah; and great-great-granddaughter, Aspyn, due in December; sister, Louise May (Dennis); brothers; Andrew (Sissy) and Larry (Donna); and his cherished fur babies; Brewster (his camping buddy), Callie and Smokey. Sonny is also survived by five bonus children; Chuck, Lori, Lonnie, Tina, and Tonia; ten bonus grandchildren, and three bonus great-grandchildren. Thomas is preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn; parents, Audra and Andrew; two sisters, Pat and Wanda; two brothers, Carroll (Butch) and Kenny; his mother-in-law, Janice Carpenter; and his best buddy Zac Johnston. A visitation will be held at Christ’s Community Church of Denham Springs on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 3-5 PM with a memorial service beginning at 5 PM.
