Bowen Ross Berthelot

On September 14, 2021, the skies parted, and Bowen Ross Berthelot was lovingly placed into his mother and father’s arms at 7:59 PM, weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces—a bundle of pure love and joy. Bowen’s soft touch immediately revealed the meaning of life to his parents. That soft touch soon became tiny fingers that clung to his mommy and daddy so tightly that even his daddy couldn’t break the grip. Bowen’s heaven on Earth was his momma. He would nuzzle so tightly into her neck, intertwining his little fingers in her hair. The smell of her hair and the warmth of her touch were the popcorn to his favorite movie. Together, they would snuggle and watch his favorite film until Daddy came home, signaling it was time to head outdoors. Bowen’s happiest moments were spent in the dirt with his daddy. Whether fixing a boat motor, oiling a lawnmower, or riding his dirt bike, as long as there was a motor, dirt, and his daddy, Bowen was a happy little boy. As a big brother, Bowen had the extraordinary gift of compassion. He lovingly taught Molly Kay how to walk, splash in the bathtub, and play hard. He kept their stuffed animals separate, and if she accidentally took one of his, he’d quickly find one of hers. Though he was protective of his beloved bunny and Spider-Man, he always made sure Molly Kay had something special of her own. Bowen’s infectious spirit touched everyone he met. He even became a worldwide celebrity when Mimi and Colby’s TikTok videos of him went viral. The world fell in love with Bowen, and he was happy to share fist bumps to make people feel special during his “public appearances.” Uncle Tyler and his “big” truck made a lasting impression on Bowen. Bowen would detail Tyler’s truck for him, blasting the speakers while he worked. Sundays were spent at Uncle Taylor and Aunt Meghan’s house, where Bowen and Joseph helped their daddies build a dirt bike track. Raegan, the little mother hen, lovingly reminded the boys to be careful as they rode. At Uncle Chris and Aunt Jenson’s house, Bowen delighted in building dirt castles with Lane and Darla. Bowen cherished time with his Pawpaw, watching countless hours of deer hunting. Afterward, he’d join Cece in the kitchen to cook a good old-fashioned country meal. At Gigi and Pops’ house, Bowen loved fishing and indulging in the fancy sweet treats Gigi introduced him to. He also adored dancing and shaking his booty with Pawpaw Joey before raiding his Sprite stash. Shortly before his first birthday, Bowen met the love of his life, Andie May. Their bond was undeniable, and they were often caught sharing sweet kisses. Andie May even refused to sleep in her bed until her daddy bought her Spider-Man shoes just like Bowen’s. Now, she sleeps peacefully every night. Though they fought like siblings, their love for each other was as strong as that of lifelong partners. Bowen is survived by his Mommy and Daddy, Kennedi and Nicholas Berthelot; little sister, Molly Kay Berthelot; grandparents, “CiCi” Christie Stroncheck, “PawPaw” Frank Stroncheck, “GiGi” Danielle Berthelot-Miller, “PawPaw Jo” Joey Berthelot, and “Pops” Jerry Miller; aunts and uncles, Madison Stroncheck, Tyler Stroncheck, Joseph Taylor Berthelot, Megan Berthelot, Christopher Berthelot, and Jensen Berthelot; great-grandparents, “YaYa” Ruth Stevens, “Opaw” Harry Stevens, “MawMaw” Patricia Wade, and “PawPaw” Clarence Wade; great uncles and aunts, Joey Wade, Ashley Wade, Michelle Pilcher, Danny Stroncheck, Tony Stroncheck, and Brandy Lucas; and cousins, Raegan Berthelot, Joseph Berthelot, Lane Berthelot, Darla June Berthelot, Emma Wade, Arabella Wade, Benson Wade, and Briella Wade. Bowen is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, “Nana” Sharon Jo and Donald Francis Stroncheck, and June and Earl Berthelot; great-great-grandparents, “Other” Sylvia Lillard and Hobart Lillard, Harry L Stevens Sr. and Adelaide Robique Stevens, Christine and Bentford Cooley, and Margaret and Carthel Allen; great uncles, Kristen David Berthelot, Jason Brice Stevens, and Jeffery William Wade; and great-great aunt and uncle, Diane and Duane Allen. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Bowen’s visitation at Judson Baptist Church, on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the services begin at 1:00 PM. Services will be conducted by Pastor Willis Easley and Cody Wilson. In honor of Bowen’s colorful life, the family kindly requests that no black clothing be worn to his service.
