Shirley McKnight Harriman passed away on December 15, 2020 in Central, LA at the age of 85. She was born in 1935 in Jackson, LA to Emmett and Eunice McKnight. She grew up in Baton Rouge, LA and graduated from Istrouma High School. She married the love of her life, Irvin Harriman. She enjoyed crocheting at her “sister’s meetings” and weekly garage sales. She is survived by her sons Van Harriman and his wife Ann, Kelvin Harriman and his wife Cindy, Layne Harriman and his wife Lorraine, Eric Harriman and his wife Jodi; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters; and 1 brother. She is preceded in death by her husband Irvin Harriman, as well as numerous siblings. A Graveside service will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, on Friday, December 18th at 10:00 am officiated by her son Rev. Eric Harriman. Family & friends are invited to a gathering following the graveside service at the home of her son Van Harriman 14925 Pinewood Drive, Pride, LA 70770.
