Robert Jewell Bates

Robert Jewell Bates died peacefully at North Oaks Memorial Hospital on April 29, 2018 at the age of 68. Robert is survived by his daughter Brandi, son-in-law Muhammed AlJariri, grandson Henry, brothers Butch Bates, Gerald Bates and William Bates. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernell Bates, parents Earline Davis and Edward C. Bates, and brother James Bates. A special thanks to his dear friend and angel Bonnie Rodrigue for her love and support. Robert was born on January 19, 1950 in McComb, Mississippi. He graduated from Baker High School in 1968. Robert retired from Wilson Warehouse after 28 years of dedicated service. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at McLin and Manley Funeral Home, 29419 Walker South Road, Walker, Louisiana 70785.
