Carl Ray Lilly Sr.

May 10, 1947 - March 30, 2021

II Corinthians 13:11 Finally, Brethren, farewell be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace and the god of love and peace shall be with you. Carl Ray Lilly Sr. took his heavenly flight on March 30, 2021. He was 73. Carl was a member of Fellowship Ministry of Grace in Holden, L.A. with pastor Kenneth Stewart, where the mission of the church is to provide shelter, food, transportation, and spiritual support to those struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. After receiving help, he remained with the Ministry cooking, helping with transportation, and teaching Bible studies. His desire was to assist and help others and he did so for eleven years. Carl loved camping, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by former wife and friend Cerita Lilly; daughters, Shanna Diamond (Mark Allen), and Jolene Sizemore (Justin Sizemore); his son, Terry Lilly (Annie Wiggins Chartin); Sisters, Nancy Roberts, Jamie Lilly Smith, Barbara Lilly, and LeeAnna Lilly Miller; grandchildren, Gavin and Maddox Sizemore, Lindsay Jones, Abbi Diamond, Carli Boudreaux, Mikel Chartin; Great Grandchildren: Ayden, Brees, and Baylee. Carl was preceded in death by his son, Carl Lilly Jr.; parents, Ireland and Edna Lilly; brothers, Doug, Roger, and John Lilly; and Stepmom Phyllis Lilly. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at Fellowship Ministries of Grace 17440 Florida Blvd. Holden, L.A. from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 12:30 pm Thursday, April 8, 2021, conducted by Pastor Kenneth R. Stewart and Pastor Ralph Doiron. Pallbearers will be Steve Crawley, Morris Starns, Corey Dabodie, Mark Howell, Jay Greendahl, Justin Sizemore, Mark Allen, James McNair, and honorary Pallbearer, Paul Knapp.
