Terry Juanice Mons

Terry Juanice Mons went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2022, at the age of 50, in Denham Springs, Louisiana. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on July 18, 1972. She was an identical twin. She was a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Terry is survived by her son, Blair Dwain Hedemark, 30, of Walker, Louisiana; parents, Gary and Linda Dykes Mons of Covington, Louisiana; sister, Sandy Mons Barry (John) of Covington, Louisiana; twin sister, Diane Marie Mons of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; former husband Danny Hedemark (Shelle) of Walker, Louisiana; two nieces, Leah Quackenbush (Jess) of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and Payton Jay Barry of Covington, Louisiana; one nephew, John Grayson Barry of Covington, Louisiana; one great niece, Hayven Christian Rizzo from Goldsboro, North Carolina; one great nephew Alister Maddox Rizzo from Goldsboro, North Carolina; and a host of family and friends that loved her. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Juanice Morris Dykes and Sydney Dykes; paternal grandparents, Kathryn Kephart and Thomas H. Mons Jr. Terry was a believer, and she knew God personally. She was giving and always ready to help. She and her granny loved the 23rd Psalm. They both knew it spoke of God's love and continuous care for us. Her bible was very worn as she would seek the Lord in all things. Terry attended Denham Springs High School and later attended Baton Rouge Community College. Terry requested to be cremated and have her ashes spread over her Granny's grave in the family cemetery in Kentwood. A graveside visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Dykes Family Cemetery in Kentwood, Louisiana from 10:00 AM until the service in which the ashes are spread begins at 11:00 AM. A celebration of Terry's life will be held at FBC Chapel in Covington, LA, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life and love shared with Terry.
