Monty Robinson

Monty Robinson, a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved him. Born on August 20, 1962, in Monroe, Louisiana, Monty lived a life defined by his love of family, the outdoors, good food, and making memories with those he held dear. Monty had a gift for finding joy in the world around him. Whether he was hunting deer and turkey, casting a line in his favorite fishing spot, or traveling with his beloved wife to the Great Smoky Mountains for their annual elk-watching trips, he embraced every moment with appreciation and enthusiasm. His greatest talent, however, was in the kitchen. Monty was a master chef whose meals became family traditions, whose recipes became cherished memories, and whose table was always a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and love. Family and friends looked forward to any occasion that provided an opportunity to enjoy one of his creations. Through his cooking, Monty expressed his generosity, hospitality, and deep love for those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and togetherness that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Monty is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Marcia Case Robinson; daughter, Andria Nikole Robinson Hollis (Logan) of Goldthwaite, Texas; son, Zachery Garrett Robinson of Fort Worth, Texas; and bonus son, Austin Marcus Jones (Hannah) of Denham Springs, Louisiana. He was a proud grandfather to Christopher Lee Gasca, Jessalynn Renee Robinson, Maddox Monroe Hollis, and Bristol Roy Jones, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life. Monty is also survived by his brothers, Robbie Robinson and Randy Robinson, both of Monroe, Louisiana; his niece, Ashley Robinson Kennedy (Blake) of Diana, Texas; and his great-nephew, River Conrad Kennedy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Robinson and Thelma Golden Robinson, and his brother, Marty Robinson. Monty will be remembered for his easy smile, his generous heart, his love of the outdoors, and the countless memories made around his table. While his family grieves his passing, they find comfort in the lasting impact he made on their lives and in the many treasured moments they shared together. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Monty’s visitation on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Emanuel Baptist Church, from 12:00 PM until the funeral service begins at 2:00 PM. Bro. Max Landry will officiate services. In accordance with Monty’s wishes, cremation will follow the funeral services. Arrangements have been entrusted to McLin Funeral Home.
