Kollin "Peanut" Triche

Kollin “Peanut” Triche, age 19, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born on June 21, 2007, in Hammond, Louisiana, Kollin was the beloved son of Rusty Triche and Danielle Avants. He was known for his kind heart, hardworking spirit, and the genuine love he had for his family and friends. Kollin had recently begun working with Avants Logging, where he took great pride in his work and looked forward to building his future. Although his life was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Kollin is survived by his parents, Danielle Avants and Rusty Triche of Walker, Louisiana; his sisters, Kaitlyn (Mason), Kelsey (Zach), and Nora Triche; his brother, Kolton Triche; his grandparents, Jerry and Doris Avants, Roni Jean, and Kenny Wayne Smith; his great-grandmother, Sadie Courtney;his great grandfather, Herman Severio; his aunts, Ashley Avants (Kenny) and Renee Triche; his uncles, Randy Triche and Jerry Avants, Jr. (Autumn); his nephews, Baylor Jobe and Harvie Stafford; his niece, Maisie Jobe; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and many cherished friends. He is preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Faye Courtney, Irma Smith, and Hazel Avants; and his great-grandfathers, Bobby Courtney, Donald Smith, and James Avants. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kollin’s visitation on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., visitation will resume on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m. Brother Wayne Mack will officiate services. Burial will follow in Ellie Courtney Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Triche, Randall Triche, Dylan Triche, Jerry Avants, Jr., Colton Adams, and Paul Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Triche and Hoss Jones. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Kollin to join them in celebrating his life and honoring the memories he leaves behind.
