Connie Sharp Hoyt

Surrounded by her family, Connie Sharp Hoyt, of Livingston, Louisiana, “ran into the arms of Jesus” on June 14, 2026, at the age of 70. While her passing leaves an ache in our hearts, we rejoice knowing she is healed and whole. Born on February 18, 1956, Connie lived a life grounded in faith, love, and devotion to those she loved, always putting others before herself. She retired from Hammond State School where she served as a Director of Medical Records and later from Acadiana Management Group as a Corporate Regional Coding Supervisor. Connie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Terry Noel Hoyt; their two children, Ryan Hoyt (Stacey) and Mandy Hoyt Gautreau (Devin); grandchildren, Kamryn Elizabeth Hoyt and Maverick Noel Gautreau; mother-in-law, Gladys Williams; sisters, Beth Hoyt and Mary Ann Efferson (Paul); brothers, Leonard Lee Sharp, Dwight Taylor (Kay), Joseph Taylor (Penny), and Travis Bullard (Randy); brothers-in-law, Chris Hoyt (Stephanie), Carter Hoyt, Gary Hoyt, Walton Hoyt (Karen), and Dudley Hoyt (Darla) and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Sharp Taylor, stepfather, Johnny Taylor Sr. and her father, Leonard Bray Sharp Sr.; fathers-in-law, Woodrow “Bunk”Hoyt (Barbara Joan) and Julius Williams; brothers, Leonard Bray Sharp Jr. and Porky Taylor; brother-in-law, Duson “Penny” Hoyt and sisters-in-law, Sharon Taylor, Dee Hoyt and Tracy Sharp, who was also her cherished best friend. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Colyell Baptist Church, 19524 LA-42, in Livingston, Louisiana, on June 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM until funeral services begin at 12:00 PM. Burial service, led by Pastor Jeremy Glascock, will follow in Zeigler Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bray Sharp, Brad Sharp, Joseph Efferson, Garrett Hoyt, Nick Hoyt, Bryce Hoyt, Paul Efferson, and Austin Glass.
