Betty Lambert Morace

In a love that endured beyond this life, Betty Lambert Morace, 78, reunited with her beloved husband on April 22, 2026, just 30 days after his passing. Betty passed away peacefully at her home in Walker, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 24, 1948, in Independence, Louisiana. She lived a life grounded in faith, love, and devotion to those she loved, always putting others before herself and offering a steady source of comfort, strength, and kindness to those around her. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Sherman Everett Morace, whom she met in 1967. Together they shared 59 beautiful years and 56 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda Ann Morace; her son, Anthony Moss; and her parents, Cardis and Jessie Lee Lambert, Sr. Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Sherry Katherine Morace Thompson (Anthony); her niece, Beverly Duncan Waggenspack; her stepdaughter, Debra Morace (Burgess); her grandson, Dylan Everett Thompson; her granddaughter, Madison Nicole Thompson; as well other grand, and great-grandchildren; along with a host of family, church family, and wonderful neighbors who over the years became more like family—all of whom will forever cherish her memory. Betty's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt whose home was filled with warmth, care, and unconditional love. Her faith was her foundation, guiding her through every season of life. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, resting in the arms of her Savior. Her legacy of love, strength, and devotion will live on in all who knew and loved her. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Betty's visitation at Christ Community Church in Denham Springs, on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM until funeral services begin at 1:00 PM. Services will be conducted by Pastor Willis Easley. Burial will follow at Norman E. "Pete" Heine Memorial Gardens, formerly Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Anthony Thompson, Dylan Thompson, Mitchell Smith, Bobby Pace, Terry Smith, and Wayne Whited. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Devillier, Burgess Plaisance, Rodney Lewis, and Marc Grisham. Arrangements have been entrusted to McLin Funeral Home.
